Title: Registered Nurse Laser Technician
Department: Revive at The Group Medical Spa
Reports To: Medical Spa Administrator

Job Overview: The Certified Laser Technician will be responsible for performing laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation, tattoo removal, and other laser treatments for our clients as directed by the Spa Manager. You will work closely with our medical professionals to ensure the highest standards of safety and efficacy in all procedures.
Essential Duties: Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.
- Provide appropriate laser treatments to clients by appointment.
- Perform laser hair removal treatments using appropriate techniques and settings.
- Administer skin rejuvenation treatments such as laser facials, laser peels, photofacials, etc.
- Conduct tattoo removal procedures utilizing laser technology.
- Provide consultations to clients, assess their needs, medical history, and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of clients throughout treatments, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation for consultations, recommendations, and treatment records.
- Schedule future appointments and suggest home care regime to clients based on needs and desired outcome.
- Take initiative to present products and services in a professional and proficient manner through product and treatment knowledge.
- Keep abreast of Revive’s service menu, industry trends and advancements in laser technology, and training.
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms and equipment.
- Uphold excellent customer service standards, addressing client concerns and inquiries professionally and courteously.
- Personally work with clients to deliver and develop customer loyalty.
- Participate in execution of various med spa events.
- Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Attend required meetings and training programs.
- Maintain client confidentiality.
- Maintain a positive attitude and work toward continuous quality improvement.
- Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures.
- Work well as a team.
- Participate in collaboration with other team members to promote continuity of care, including cross referring to other spa providers.
- Actively participate in all Social Media, marketing, and brand management of Revive to promote services, treatments, products, and other providers.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, the individual in this position must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skills and ability required.
Education/Experience:
- Completed continuing education in the field of laser technology at one of Iowa’s laser training schools
- Per the Iowa Board of Medicine, must be a Licensed Laser Technician, Registered Nurse, Aesthetician.
- Strong understanding of laser physics, skin anatomy, and related safety protocols.
- Experience working in a medical spa, plastic surgery, or dermatological clinic, performing laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation, and tattoo removal treatments is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills
- Demonstrated sales and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional results.
- Willingness to adhere to all industry regulations and best practices.
- Flexibility to work evenings and potentially weekends as needed.
- Familiarity with different types of laser equipment and their applications.
- Additional certifications in advanced laser procedures is a plus.

- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Current Laser Technology Certification
- Current Iowa Board of Nursing License, or Iowa Board of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences License
- CPR/First Aid Certification of medical licensed staff required.
- Driver’s license and acceptable driving record
