Position: After-School and Camp Programs Soccer Coach
Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dynamic individual to join our team for our after-school programs and day camps. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in soccer, experience working with children and adolescents, and the ability to create engaging and skill-focused sessions.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate soccer and mindfulness activities for children in small group settings.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that encourages learning and social interaction.
- Supervise and guide children during after-school hours, always ensuring their safety and well- being.
- Design and execute soccer and mindfulness activities that cater to different skill levels and ages, ensuring a balance of fun and skill development to promote holistic development.
- Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a structured schedule and ensure smooth operation of the program.
- Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on children’s progress and addressing any concerns or queries.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children in a soccer or childcare setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage children and build positive relationships.
- Knowledge of child development principles and the ability to tailor soccer and mindfulness activities to different age groups and skill levels.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage a group of children effectively.
Schedule:
- This position involves after-school (afternoon and evening) hours during the academic year and full-day availability during the summer camp period. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary as
Coaches may be required to travel to occasional events or tournaments.
