.Works closely with cafe owners and FOH lead on the overall objective and daily goal of continuing the success of our European style community cafe!
· Create and implement Bar training, processes and procedures.
· Develop seasonal beverage menu considering high profitably margins to review with cafe owners.
· With management, analyze metrics such as COGS, labor, waste, sales goals, revenue, and profitability targets.
· Maintain a culture of respect and policy adherence, leading by example, and cultivating staff buy-in to all company procedures, policies, and processes.
· Develop customer service and hospitalityinitiatives to continue to elevate the experience of loyal customers as well as engaging the community at large.
· Create approaches to meet specific company objectives and goals (for example, staff bonuses, store promotions and outside & inside sales).
· Develop and implement coffee related events & programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Assume responsibility for all aspects of the bar and be capable of completing all daily operations, including FOH duties and working hand in hand with FOH lead.
· Oversee all barista staff, including helping with scheduling, hiring, terminations, performance & pay reviews, job descriptions/responsibilities, training & continuing education.
·Duties include exemplary customer service and sales, education to staff & customers, preparation & presentation of beverages, reconcile sales, operational procedures, merchandising, maintain inventory.
· Maintains a safe & healthy work environment by following organization standards, Health Dept. & sanitation regulations.
· Maintains equipment operations: troubleshoot breakdowns, performs preventative maintenance, schedules / facilitates routine equipment maintenance.
· Be on-call with the responsibility to respond to problems, or fill-in at the shop when needed.
· Cultivate a professional, friendly, efficient work environment.
· Meet/discuss with management before end of each day (or as needed) for an overview of the day regards to customers/staff/inventory, and other pertinent matters. Have regular meeting to strategize and Proactively solve problems/make decisions with management that benefit the cafe.
· Lead weekly barista staff meetings to ensure team is meeting goals.
Qualifications/Skills:

· Proactive approach to problem solving and staff management.
· A high degree of ethics and obsession with customer service.
· Excellent time management skills and ability to self-direct when necessary.
· High level of organization and ability to keep the bar and cafe clean/presentable.
· Adaptability and the ability to creatively troubleshoot difficult situations.
· Superior leadership capabilities, ability to work well within groups.
· Experience working in the specialty coffee industry with barista skills.
· A passion for small businesses, specialty coffee and quality food and products.
· Be a model leader/barista and be enthusiastic to share knowledge with staff and customers.
· Detail orientated.

Schedule:
· Weekends and weekdays required, open and closing shifts through 4:30pm.
· Some holidays required (however, closed most major holidays, including Thanksgiving and Christmas Day).
Experience and Requirements:
· Management: 2+ years (required); Barista: 3+ years (required).
Must know how to work with a semi-automatic espresso machine and calibrate daily.
· Must live in south OC and have reliable transportation.
