Job Description
GENERAL DESCRIPTIONS:
Provide mental health services to clients at The Hope Center in West Monroe, Louisiana. This position works as an independent contractor. Counseling services will be provided on-site at the clinic. Evening hours may be needed to accommodate clients' schedules.
- Assessing and treating individuals and families to achieve more adequate, satisfying, and productive family and social environments.
- Addressing a wide array of relational issues within the context of the family system.
- Addressing individuals holistically and contextually.
- Informing and connecting clients to other agency resources as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Mental Health, Social Work, or equivalent degree preferred; experience with families and children preferred.
- Licensed as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW.
- Must have respect for cultural differences and families' rights to self-determination.
- Must be able to assess situations quickly, and have sufficient ingenuity to cope with limited resources.
- Ability to work well in a team setting.
- Ability to work cooperatively with different types of personalities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to be flexible in terms of scheduling, where services are rendered, etc.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
The Licensed Mental Health Professional is hired by the Program Director. The LMHP reports directly to the Program Director, who is responsible for performance review and contract renewal. The LMHP must be able to meet as needed with the Program Director to discuss contract deliverables.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate commitment to the Core Values and Mission of The Center for Children and Families.
- Maintain LMHP status.
- Provide individual and family therapy.
- Maintain a consistent schedule for appropriate treatment of clients.
- Maintain all confidential information.
- Ability to handle crisis situations as needed.
- Be available by phone to clients, stakeholders, and coworkers on a consistent basis.
- Provide mental health assessments as needed.
- Develop appropriate treatment plan.
- Complete all necessary training.
- Seek case consultation as needed to ensure quality care of clients.
- Generate and maintain case notes and treatment plans in electronic health record.
- Complete all paperwork in a timely manner.
- Provide assistance and consultation for other staff members as needed and when requested.
- Participate in performance evaluations of this position as directed by the Program Director.
- Other duties as outlined in the contract agreement.
Compensation: $70- $90 per hour.
