Northeast Technical Institute is looking for a Clinical Medical Instructor for our Scarborough and Auburn campuses.
General Summary:
The Clinical Healthcare Instructor is responsible for administering all aspects of the Clinical Learning Environment. This entails the administration of all clinical course processes in order to meet NTI’s clinical education goals and to ensure that the school adheres to professional standards and policies in all aspects of student programs and academic partnerships.
Essential Functions:
1. Provide clinical instruction and demonstration of clinical skills and procedures to students.
2. Observe, evaluate, assess and provide feedback to student’s skills and procedures.
3. Provide daily instructional course direction through the course textbook and instructional support in critical areas to individual students.
4. Plan, review and correct students’ clinical assignments in a timely manner.
5. Participate, evaluate and assess student competencies, goals, plans and outcomes in the classroom and clinical settings through student conferences.
6. Ensure compliance with laboratory policies and procedures, including student safety and orientation.
7. Maintain official class schedules and monitor attendance records on a daily/weekly basis. Complete student grades and maintains student attendance records accurately and timely.
8. Stay current in clinical concepts and in tune with the impact those concepts place on the Clinical Program students’ education.
9. Prepare clinical instruction within the classroom and/or online lesson plans.
10. Maintain and nurture contacts with the healthcare industry. Assists students with obtaining employment within the field.
Education & Certification:
1. High school diploma/GED or equivalent. Associates Degree Preferred.
2. CMA or other Certification and/or Licensure in clinical programs assigned to instruct. Continual development of
3. Minimum of 1 year of related experience within a Healthcare environment.
4. Maintain a collaborative working relationship with affiliates impacted by clinical education.
