Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our dynamic team at Sunbelt. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language therapy services to clients of all ages. This role is essential in helping individuals improve their communication abilities, which significantly impacts their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the SLP in conducting speech, language, and hearing screenings.
- Implement treatment plans or protocols developed by the SLP.
- Document client progress toward treatment goals.
- Prepare materials and activities for therapy sessions.
- Provide direct therapy services to clients as directed by the SLP.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling and maintaining records.
- Educate and counsel clients and their families on speech and language disorders.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other professionals.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment during therapy sessions.
Qualifications:
- State licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (as required by state law).
- Experience working in a clinical or educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
