**
**Summary
**
Accountable for complete Plant Sanitation and PC Processes, this includes staffing requirements, new hire and rotational training, budget development / adherence, and in-depth throughput / efficiencies. The Sanitation Supervisor looks for ways to improve the metrics of the operation, through visual, hands-on applications along with development of the immediate associate staff and lead personnel.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS):
**
Implements, for the purpose of day-to-day administration, specific policies, procedures, and programs established by the Plant Manager.
Participates in the selection of qualified personnel in all positions reporting directly.
Support Operations, Quality Assurance and all Executive Management via encompassing SQF Compliance as an Officer of SQF Compliance. The individual in this position will act in full accordance with SQF philosophies, guidelines, and process controls.
Accountable as liaison of all SQF Requirements; this includes but is not limited to support and vigilance in Development and Implementation, Development of Systems to provide for accuracy in application of the SQF Requirements, Appropriate action to both resolve and maintain performance values in accordance with SQF Requirements, and communication to all SQF Personnel (Need to Know) during meetings, floor visits, and associated internal audits. All relevant personnel listed on the Food Safety Panel (Organizational Chart) are identified as “relevant personnel.”
Responsible for implementing progressive and timely performance evaluations and disciplinary process in counseling, oral and written warnings; ensures a productive labor climate in the manufacturing operation.
Recommends overtime demands to the Sanitation Manager as required.
Ensures proper chemical applications providing for and documenting HAZOM, HazMat12, Chemical Awareness, and all other appropriate training.
Keeps records of departmental shift activities, as required.
Ensure equipment readiness and cleanliness.
Ensure proper tracking of Sanitation inventory as well as dispersal of supplies.
Develop lead persons.
Ensures that duties, responsibilities, and authority of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.
Directs employees with respect to daily shift production volume and quality and meeting daily production schedules.
Verify Pest Control controls are in place, tracking is documented and kept current.
Keep current a Wisconsin Structural Certification/License.
Maintain and improve the MSS.
Ensure consistent working practices between shifts and shift leads.
Support the Maintenance/Engineering Management to maintain operational equipment – work side by side to develop cleaning practices that are equipment friendly.
Ensures appropriate level of quality assurance standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsible for adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
Ensures that the Sanitation personnel follow safety policies and procedures.
Provide department technical and operational training program guidance for team members.

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
**
This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
**
This position usually requires minimum an Associate’s degree in management or related field.
3-5 years of sanitation and supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a food-related industry.
Proven supervisory and leadership abilities.
Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skill.
Solid problem solving and decision-making skills, sense of urgency, attention to detail, organization, ability to execute multiple tasks while maintaining confidentiality and meeting deadlines.
Strong computer skills (MS Office, HRIS, social media)
A positive, “can do” attitude.

**CONSIDERED A PLUS:
**
Bachelor’s degree in science or related field preferred
Certification in AIB, HACCP, PCQI or other related programs.
In depth knowledge of plant sanitation, HACCP, FSMA, SSOP and GMP program writing
Knowledge of food manufacturing industry a plus and regulation inspection procedures is highly desired.

**WORKING CONDITIONS:
**
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, heat and extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
An office space; working computer, telephone, desk, and chair as needed to complete administrative tasks. Enter and work within temperature controlled environments of -10 to 85 degrees.
Some assignments may involve exposure to noise, chemicals, biohazards, and various forms of radiation.
Some assignments could be extremely dangerous in the event of dizziness, loss of consciousness, or loss of balance. Working conditions are normal for a plant manufacturing food. Food safety practices are followed and upheld to the full extent. Work will involve lifting of raw materials, finished cases of bread, and ingredients. All employees will be required to wear a slip resistant safety steel toe shoe.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

$36.06 - $44.23 / hr
