Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Infant Assistant Teacher to join our team. As an Infant Assistant Teacher, you will play a crucial role in the development and education of young children. You will create a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. You will be a mid-shift Assistant Teacher working M-F 8:00am-5:00pm.
Responsibilities:
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Provide a variety of learning experiences to promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Foster a love for learning through engaging and interactive teaching methods
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure the overall well-being of the students
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's development and progress
Skills:
- Strong classroom management skills to create an organized and structured learning environment
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting
- Familiarity with special education strategies for students with diverse needs
- Ability to provide nurturing care to toddlers and young children
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Patience, empathy, and compassion for young learners
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each child
- Experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred
