Complete Automation, located in Lake Orion, Michigan, in northern Oakland County, is a global industry leader in fluid delivery systems. We are seeking a Field Engineer to join our team, to support the commissioning of our equipment at our customer locations throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. This position requires 90-95% travel.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Oversee the commissioning, troubleshooting, and start-up of fluid delivery systems, ensuring seamless operation and performance.
· Provide robust support to the field supervision team, ensuring all project phases are executed smoothly and efficiently.
· Conduct regular site visits to verify proper installation and compliance with project specifications, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
· Engage with customers to gather feedback and inputs for future designs, addressing any concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
· Work closely with design engineers to ensure project alignment, facilitating a smooth transition from design to implementation.
· Ensure seamless project continuity and knowledge transfer during the absence of supervisors, maintaining project momentum and integrity.
· Facilitate effective communication and coordination between the mechanical and electrical installation plans and the field teams, ensuring alignment and smooth project execution.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or other related engineering or technical degree is preferred or equivalent experience
· 5+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical engineering, including reading schematics and/or electrical prints
· Strong mechanical aptitude, commissioning, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
· Experience in paint or fluid delivery systems a plus
· Proficiency in reading and interpreting 3D models, blueprints, P&IDs, schematics, and electrical prints.
· Strong written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.
· High attention to detail and follow-through skills.
· Knowledge of industry specific standards and regulations.
· Willingness to travel (90-95%), including international travel to Canada and Mexico (valid passport required).
