Position: 240017 - Controller
Location: Hybrid – Los Angeles, CA
Position Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management
- You will be expected to perform the functions/responsibilities yourself with limited support. Must be hands-on.
- Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, certified payroll, fixed-assets, month-end and year-end closes
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
- Develop and maintain internal accounting/financial controls
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and key performance indicators to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership to develop project budgets, monitor project costs, and track profitability
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax CPA, booking keeping services and financial institutions
- Lead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing financial analysis and support to senior management
- Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial management and accounting
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting /finance, or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. CPA / CMA or MBA preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management
- You will be expected to perform the functions/responsibilities yourself with limited support. Must be hands-on.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques
- Service company and project accounting experience preferred
- Managing a team and working across cross-functional team experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple priorities with ease
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to mentor and develop staff
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $150,000.00 per year
