Description:
Job Summary: Ticket, receive, pack, and distribute products and supplies within the Warehouse Distribution Center by performing the following duties and to acts in accordance with the policies set forth in the current employee handbook.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Initiate the actual process of ticketing merchandise by printing out price tickets.

Tickets all kinds of items (i.e. leather accessories, hand bags, belts, key chains, etc.) with appropriate price ticket, UPC labels of in accordance to specifications of that particular wholesale store’s requirements. (Note: each customer wants their tickets on a certain way or attached in a certain place).

Once ticketed, separates merchandise by style, color, size, etc.

Puts merchandise on shelves in accordance to assigned location in the warehouse.

Prepares cardboard boxes in accordance to the size of box that is needed to package merchandise.

Looks at packing slips and finds where products and/or supplies are and pulls them off the shelves.

Reads customer’s orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.

Runs packing slips via the computer.

Ships, counts and prepares boxes/cartons for shipping.

Runs through UPS/Fed-ex process as needed to run labels, packing slip address slips, type in computer, separates by locations and according to priority shipping.

Receiving of merchandise:

Unloads product and supplies as needed from delivery trucks as they come in.

Opens boxes and puts product and supplies is assigned locations.

Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.

Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.

Assist the Warehouse Distribution Manager in the following ways:

General warehouse upkeep (i.e. sweeps, mops, dusts, organizes, cuts up card board, prepares and removes trash, cardboard from warehouse to dumpsters.

Ensures warehouse is accessible and safe for all employees and outside visitors.

Assists in counting inventory when necessary.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma (or GED), and have at least 1-2 years working in a general warehouse or specifically a warehouse distribution center.

Working knowledge of certain warehouse equipment.
-
Understands and can follow certain safety requirements in a warehouse environment.
