Title: Assistant Clinical Coordinator

Responsibilities
- Patient Care Coordination:
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and ensure adherence to clinic protocols.
- Assist with patient intake and collect insurance information.
- Prepare clinical documents and reports as directed by the Clinical Coordinator.
- Coordinate communication between patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
- Process patient referrals, pre-authorization requests, and insurance claims (as applicable).
- Administrative Support:
- Manage patient charts and medical records electronically and/or in paper form, ensuring confidentiality.
- Maintain clinic supplies and equipment inventory, and reorder as needed.
- Answer phones, screen calls, and route messages to appropriate personnel.
- Perform data entry and other administrative tasks to ensure accurate record keeping.
- Contribute to a positive and professional work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Health Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical setting or healthcare administration (may be substituted for relevant coursework).
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems (a plus).
- Understanding of medical terminology (a plus).
