The National Service Office is the central operational engine for two evidence-based programs: Nurse-Family Partnership and Child First. In 2020, what was formally the National Service Office solely for Nurse-Family Partnership joined forces with Child First, a merger empowering two proven models to share complementary expertise, infrastructure, and integrated services. The resulting unified entity works to ensure that healthcare, early childhood development, and the mental wellness of the entire family are served in proven ways to achieve tong-term positive outcomes.

Position Description
As a member of the National Service Office Philanthropy team, the Philanthropy & Grants Manager will help support the organization’s annual budget and contribute to the success of the organization’s revenue goals and strategic plan. This position is responsible for maximizing support and sustainability for the organization and its network through a combination of private grant fundraising, public grant development (federal, state, and local), grants management, grants reporting, and stewardship. Revenue generation responsibility for $1 million plus per year.
This position is remote and can be located anywhere in the United States.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

70%: Public and Private Grant Fundraising – Develop and manage large grants for public and private donors. Management duties include developing and overseeing proposal solicitation strategies, proposal budgets, proposal writing and managing a matrixed team of grant contributors to build consensus on grant structure and content, and grant stewardship. Position is responsible for a portfolio of $1 million+ in funding to the NSO.
30% Grant Management: Manage the organization’s portfolio of public grants, including financial reporting, progress on grant objectives, and relationship with public grant organization. Manage a matrixed team of grant contributors and grant reporting, including finance and other departments who support post-award compliance.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Minimum 7 years’ experience in successfully developing public and private grants and in managing public and private grant reporting.

Minimum 5 years’ experience grant writing for fundraising. Experience in healthcare or human services and with grants from federal agencies including HHS, HRSA, SAMSHA or state/local health and human services preferred.

Minimum 2 years’ experience with grant budget creation and compliance.

Demonstrated experience in meeting and exceeding fundraising goals.

Proficiency with fundraising database programs both private and public and grants/proposal research.

Ability to write persuasively and edit effectively, including translating academic, research, or technical language into compelling narratives.

Excellent written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to shape grant budgets and fulfill financial requirements.

Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position reports to the Chief Philanthropy Officer and has no direct reports.
Salary

Salary is determined based on experience and skill set. Geographical adjustments will be considered.

Range: $64,305 - $90,000/year
