Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional eye care services, diagnose and treat visual problems, and manage various eye conditions. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases.
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids as needed.
- Diagnose and manage various eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries.
- Maintain accurate medical records using Epic or similar systems.
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices and answer their questions regarding treatments.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Skills:
- Proficiency in conducting eye exams and interpreting results.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology related to the eyes.
- Familiarity with pediatric optometry practices.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools for assessing visual acuity and performing tests like measuring intraocular pressure.
- Strong sales skills for recommending appropriate eyewear products.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
This position requires a Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited institution and a valid state license to practice optometry. Experience in optical retail settings is a plus.

Pay: $144,569.34 - $168,000.00 per year
