The Department of Medicine is seeking to hire a motivated Staff Research Associate I. Our research focuses on the autonomic nervous system's regulation of the heart, particularly in the context of heart failure and arrhythmias. We employ advanced techniques in cardiac electrophysiology and neuroscience to study neural control of the heart in small animal models. Responsibilities include surgical dissection, collecting hemodynamic, cardiac electrophysiological, and neural data and tissues, and conducting molecular biological analysis of tissues. The associate will work under the PI's supervision, assisting with immunohistochemical staining and sample collection from animal experiments. Techniques used will include large animal surgery assistance, tissue processing and clearing, immunohistochemistry/immunofluorescence, microscopy, and data analysis.
Hourly range: $25.75-$30.71
