ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, but other duties may be assigned):
- Market Expansion Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for launching Mfused products in new markets, including thorough market analysis, entry planning, and scalability assessments.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing Expansion team at headquarters. Provide ongoing support, guidance, and resources to empower team members to achieve their goals.
- Expansion Playbook Development: Create and refine an Expansion playbook outlining operational guidelines, best practices, and growth strategies for new markets. Continuously iterate and optimize strategies based on market feedback and performance metrics.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with departmental leaders to align expansion initiatives with overall business objectives. Work collaboratively with Operations, Product, Finance, Sales, HR, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless execution of expansion plans.
- Go-To-Market Strategy: Conduct in-depth market research to identify target markets and assess their readiness for Mfused products. Develop tailored go-to-market strategies that capitalize on market opportunities and address potential challenges.
- Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of market launches, including logistics, supply chain management, and regulatory compliance. Ensure smooth execution of launch plans and timely resolution of any operational issues.
- Business Alignment: Advocate for market-specific objectives and ensure alignment with company leadership and operational teams. Define clear performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of market launches.
- Leadership Recruitment: Assess market maturity and recruit leadership teams as needed to support expansion efforts. Build strong, collaborative relationships with local leaders to drive success in new markets.
- Brand Representation: Serve as a passionate advocate for the Mfused brand both internally and externally. Promote our mission, values, and products through effective communication and engagement with stakeholders.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate the success of market launches and identify areas for improvement. Implement data-driven strategies to optimize performance and drive sustainable growth.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This role may involve supervising and leading direct reports and cross-functional team members.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- A valid driver's license and a willingness to travel extensively are must-haves for this role.
- If applicable, required to obtain certificates or licenses within 90 days of employment that are required to operate in existing markets. Additionally, will need to be able to obtain certificates and licenses in new markets as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business, sales, finance, etc.) or equivalent related experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience in strategy, operations and/or growth with 3+ years of managerial experience.
- Extensive industry network and knowledge of the cannabis industry, or experience with a regulated industry.
- Proven track record of making an impact on rapidly growing global organization.
- Strong financial acumen and budgeting experience.
- Proficiency in revenue management processes and tools.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This role may require occasional travel and remote work, but initial training and subsequent staff training may take place in office settings. The work environment may include exposure to cannabis-related products and processes.
