Essential duties and responsibilities:
Duties include using good judgement and discretion to complete tasks including, but not limited to the following:
- Assist with and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including but not limited to accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, inventory, and general ledger management
- Oversee month-end closings, Prepare monthly financials and flux analysis
- Prepare quarterly financial report package to parent company
- Post bi-weekly payroll (ADP) GL file, reconcile 401K
- Review and analyze WIP, manufacturing variance for all work orders
- Prepare/Review monthly account reconciliations
- Manage tax compliance, including income tax, sales tax, and other regulatory filings
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax return preparation
- Collaborate with other departments during the annual forecast/budget process
- Assist Senior Director of Finance in technical accounting research, interpretation, and memo writing, including the implementation of new accounting standards as applicable.
- Assist Senior Director of Finance in constant improvement of processes by monitoring and analyzing department work to develop more efficient procedures and maximize use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Handle general insurance renewal
- Supervise and mentor AP, AR, Accounting Supervisor
Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Working knowledge of computers, MS Office (excel)
- Solid understanding of financial accounting principles (GAAP), including revenue recognition, lease accounting, expense allocation
- Working knowledge of corporate accounting practices, including intercompany transactions and consolidation
- Ability to help streamline processes and improve department scalability
- Ability to work both independently and as a team
- Knowledge of standard costing, cost roll, overheads applied, WIP Inventory and manufacturing cost accounting
- Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience. Convey verbal and written information effectively.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor Degree, in Accounting preferred
- CPA certification strongly preferred. Expert knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations.
- Minimum of 5 years of Accounting for manufacturing company preferred
- At least 5 years of management experience.
- Experience with JD Edwards, Oracle is a plus.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
