Ledgent Accounting & Finance has partnered with a growing start-up that is manufacturing a unique, patented solution in the consumer goods sector.
Reporting to the President and CEO, the successful candidate will be willing and able to "roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty" while thriving in a rapidly changing environment. Specifically, we require someone with enough courage to be responsible for implementing a new finance software system.
QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelors' degree in finance or related field, CPA or MBA preferred * Over 7 years' experience in managerial accounting and/or financial management
* Must have QuickBooks Online Advanced/Enterprise and Microsoft Dynamics 365* Advanced Excel skills, ability to work with lookups and pivot tables * Strong understanding of tax* Tech savvy for learning new software related to e-commerce finance * Knowledge of Amazon Seller Central, Shopify, EDI protocols, and inventory management software a plus

Responsbilities:
- Taking e-commerce remittance patterns & the company's growth plans into consideration, oversee correct accounting process, audits, & staffing.
- Maintain proper procedures & financial controls, including updating and creating process documents for all finance-related functions.
- Oversee preparation of monthly/quarterly reporting for cash flow, balance sheet, P&L, domestic/international sales taxes, etc.
- Analyze the company's financial results with respect to margins, profits, trends, costs - and issue regular status reports to senior management.
- Oversee cash management, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including management of three employees.
- Develop & coordinate relationships with tax firms, financial institutions, lenders, and investors.
- Manage and oversee preparation of tax schedules, tax returns, and information for outside tax and accounting firms.
- Manage compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property and other applicable taxes.
- Work with senior management to create yearly & quarterly budgets - and map out various (worst case, best case) financial scenarios. Prepare quarterly budget variance analysis.
- Analyze costs, pricing, margins, gross sales, and compare actual performance to the company's business plans.
- Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting which defines monthly/quarterly minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs. Make recommendations to senior management regarding the investment of short-term cash balances and execute as needed.
- Work with senior management in order to maintain our revolving line of credit (which will support continued growth and new product launches).
