This role will support the RCRA Programs and Clean up Brand & the Land, Chemicals, and Redevelopment Division (LCRD) of the EPA. The incumbent will provide technical support regarding the management of project-specific information databases. This type of support includes report development and inquiry responses, reviewing technical documents, and providing technical support as needed by the Branch. This candidate will also assist with the development of a tracking system for Long Term Stewardship at Corrective Action sites/facilities, electronic records management, and overall administrative support.
Candidates must have a chemistry, science, or engineering background. Preferably a bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned fields.
The duties for this position are as follows:
· Maintaining accurate data entry, assessing, evaluating data, and creating reports for RCRA Info Database Management. Responding to inquiries to inquiries from the public, HQs, and management.
· Provide technical support such as reviewing and recommending edits to technical documents, researching information for RCRA and Underground Storage Tank Inspections, permits, and orders;
· Develop, maintain, and advise a new Long-Term Stewardship at Corrective Action sites/facilities tracking system.
· Provide support in the creation and process of Federal Notices
· Assist with electronic records management as needed for LCRD
· Provide backup and administrative support to RPCB Executive Assistant and LCRD IO as needed.
Candidates must have advanced mastery of technical skills in the following:
· Windows Operating System
· Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
· Business Machines (Fax, Copy Machine, Scanner, Multiple Phone Lines)
· Operating multiple computer screens
