SouthCoast Health Is Looking For A Full-time RN For Our Outpatient Cardiology Department
Provides cardiac nursing care in terms of individualized patient needs, and works to promote health, prevent disease and help patients cope with illness. Care is provided through recognized nursing techniques, procedures, and established standards based on the scope of practical nursing, under the directions/delegation of the Physician. Cardiac nursing care includes performing routine cardiology office procedures, testing, and assisting physicians as needed.
Qualifications:
- Able to implement current nursing practice while performing direct and indirect patient care procedures.
- Able to administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
- Educate patient/family about diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition and maintenance of health and wellness.
- Able to conduct pre-visit patient assessments and document patient care observations and activities.
- Maintain confidentiality in matters regarding the clinic, its patients and employees.
Responsibilities:
- Observe, record and report patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physician.
- Dispense medication as directed.
- Triage patients via telephone calls to determine emergent, urgent or non-urgent status.
- Develop patient plans of care and document care coordination and interventions while integrating quality initiative measurements and other accrediting body requirements in order to demonstrate results and show quality improvement in patients.
- Processes patient referrals with required follow through.
Education/ Experience:
Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing. BSN preferred. Minimum of one year clinical experience, preferably in a hospital or office practice setting.
Requirements:
Current Georgia RN or Compact Nursing licensure. Current BLS/CPR Certification
