Roles and Responsibilities
The job duties and responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Direct others on work activities and organize scheduling of resources.
- Training of new employees and shop members as needed to better the team knowledge and abilities.
- Solve simple job-related problems and bring solutions to the shop superintendent or Fabrication shop manager.
- Ability to work with a variety of tools, large machines, and specialty equipment.
- Support the Superintendent and Project Manager to complete the project in a timely manner.
- Provide the best quality and productive work without constant reminder.
- Review and inspect finished assemblies to ensure parts and pieces are accurate and meet the fabrication requirements.
- Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company from time to time.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Physical Demands: occasional sitting, frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing; and constant standing, walking, reaching and gripping.
- Material Handling: lifting from floor level to overhead, with frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. and constant lifting up to 25 lbs., placing the position in the very heavy physical demand classification (PDC).
- Required Education: High School Graduate or equivalent, work experience.
- Must be able to talk and hear. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- 5 years experience operating a forklift and handling more than just pallets.
