Minimum 1+ years Behavior Specialist experience required.
We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team for the first semester of the school year. This temporary position offers an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on our students' lives within a defined timeframe.
Job Summary: The School-Based BCBA will provide expert support and guidance in the implementation of behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with behavioral needs. The BCBA will work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to develop and monitor effective strategies that enhance student learning and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Train and support teachers, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and other staff in the implementation of BIPs.
- Monitor and analyze data on student behavior and progress.
- Provide direct intervention support to students as needed.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure consistency and effectiveness of interventions.
- Participate in team meetings to review student progress and adjust plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to ethical guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Experience working in a school setting and with children with behavioral challenges is preferred.
- Strong understanding of ABA principles and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
