POSITION TITLE: Product Manager – Production and Sourcing Systems
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Product Manager – Product Lifecycle Systems is an integral member of AEO’s Technology team. You will be responsible for building the product vision and roadmap, while working with a key set of stakeholders to deliver technology solutions to keep pace with the ever changing product design, development and sourcing landscape. You will be part of a team with a technology first mindset tasked with building systems, operations and processes to deliver exceptional associate experiences that will accelerate our global brand value and recognition. Our ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, results-oriented, and an excellent communicator. This individual should have a deep understanding of product lifecycle management systems (PLM). This role will partner with cross-functional teams including business and financial teams, internal technology teams and third party vendors to drive the development of new capabilities and processes that further American Eagle Outfitter’s position as a leader in fashion and retail.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own product vision and roadmap; develop relationships with stakeholders to align goals and priorities
- Champion the needs of customers and business partners by thoroughly understanding the unique needs of the various end users
- Tackle technical software challenges which solve concrete problems; identify and lead solutions that recognize significant business and customer value
- Make data driven decisions; analyze market research, user feedback, data, and competitive landscape to identify new product opportunities and enhancements
- Prioritize features based on associate and business impacts and understand the art of sequencing their delivery with an agile framework
- Partner with multiple engineering teams on development, testing & implementation plans as well as internal communications deployment plans
- Synthesize business requirements, identify areas of uncertainty, recommend solutions and gather buy-in from relevant stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field or an equivalent combinations of education and experience
- 3+ years of experience managing PLM products; domain expertise in retail would be ideal
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
- Ability to manage multiple projects in various phases of ideation, execution, or delivery
- Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management

- Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
