Who are we looking for?
A Field Service Technician that can travel onsite to support our client. The candidate should have complete knowledge of Dell/HP desktop PC maintenance, support, remote support solutions and trouble shooting. The candidate should have extensive experience with device management, device imaging, image management and application installation and support.
The candidate will be asked to perform support and troubleshooting for end users via a remote support model as well as on-site support and desk side visits as required when remote support has not proved successful or is impractical.
The candidate must have excellent customer facing communication and organization skills. This job will include all aspects of on-site and remote support including end-user and management support.
Technical Skills:
- 1-2 years related experience working with Windows Desktop Enterprise technologies.
- Experience on software packaging, distribution technologies, and building OS
- Images using Ghost or other comparable systems
- Familiarity with anti-virus software programs.
Process Skills:
- Strong communications skills a must. Candidate must be always polite and professional with end users and must be able to communicate the problem or issues to end users, management and co-workers as required.
- Strong PC installations, troubleshooting and support skills required.
- Perform patching, patch management and software updates and upgrades on client end user devices.
- Knowledge of Remote Monitoring and Management solutions for PC’s and laptop computers important.
· Ability to travel to client locations as necessary.
- Collaborate with senior technical staff and customers to perform PC, laptop, server and other assessment services.
Knowledge Skills:
- Organized implementation and post implementation problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently to accomplish desired goals and objectives as well as in a team environment to solve complex technical challenges
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize work effectively
- Knowledge of Dell/HP desktop and laptop equipment.
