Description:
The custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly environment for the facility. This role involves routine cleaning tasks, minor maintenance, and ensuring all areas of the building are presentable and functional.
Key Responsibilities not limited to:

Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and wiping surfaces. Ensure restrooms are clean, sanitized, and well-stocked with supplies.

Trash Removal: Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and dispose of waste in designated areas. Ensure proper recycling practices are followed.

Floor Care: Maintain floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and/or buffing as needed.

Window and Glass Cleaning: Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors to remove smudges and fingerprints.

Restocking Supplies: Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, restroom products, and other necessary materials.

Minor Repairs and Maintenance: Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, and addressing minor plumbing and electrical issues.

Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Report any hazards, damages, or needed repairs promptly.

Event Setup and Cleanup: Assist with the setup and takedown of furniture and equipment for events, meetings, and other activities as required.

Moving Materials: Srapping pallets and moving material to their home location.

Special Projects: Participate in special cleaning projects such as deep cleaning or seasonal maintenance tasks.

Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Previous custodial or janitorial experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Skills:
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and products.
- Basic understanding of building maintenance and repair tasks.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and other machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects.
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Working Conditions:

Environment: Work is performed indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. Exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment noise is expected.

Physical Demands: The role requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
