Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to keep rental properties in excellent condition. This includes responding to maintenance requests, performing routine inspections, and ensuring all properties meet safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on rental properties, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general upkeep.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants and property managers.
- Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify and address maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and services as needed.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety and building codes.
- Assist with property turnovers, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in property maintenance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance practices. (If certain tasks are not within scope of expertise - report to property manager to contact licensed contractor for related problem)
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair various building systems and appliances.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and liability insurance. We can provide company vehicle in addition to wages.
- Need flexibility with available hours.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
