Position
The Communications Specialist plays a vital role in enhancing the club's online presence and member engagement through various multimedia platforms. Responsibilities include creating visually appealing content for newsletters, organizing and producing video communications, updating event calendars, managing social media channels, and assisting with member inquiries and technology systems.
Key Responsibilities - not limited to
- Create multimedia content, photography/video production, for newsletters and emails.
- Design visually appealing layouts/graphics for event communications.
- Craft copy for, manage and interact on social media channels.
- Prompt and professional response to Member inquiries.
- Memorialize Club Events through multimedia coverage.
- Support the videoconferencing system.
- Learn and troubleshoot new technology systems.
Qualifications
- Exceptional communication abilities including writing, speaking and active listening
- Website and Social Media content management experience required
- Ability to effectively engage with membership and team members of all levels
- Excellent project management and organizational skills including time management, goal-setting, multitasking and prioritization
- Drone pilot’s license preferred or must be willing to acquire
- Members’ First, Flipsnack, Pacesetter, Canva and Jonas experience preferred
- 1-2 years’ experience in a communications, marketing, or other related field preferred
