Association House of Chicago is hiring a compassionate Residential Coordinator in Chicago, IL.
As a Residential Coordinator you will oversee residential participant needs, act as a liaison with facility management, assist with documentation and step in as needed for program supervision. You will provide rehabilitative support for adults with mental illness or that are dually diagnosed by teaching independent living skills, monitoring symptoms and medications, maintaining a safe environment and offering therapeutic interventions and crisis management. This role serves as a stepping stone towards a future supervisory role.

Job Duties:
- Provide residential services and teach in-vivo independent, social, and daily living skills to participants
- Monitor and report daily medication usage and each resident’s response to medication
- Work with participants and others involved to resolve crisis or conflictive situations in a positive and timely manner
- Submit Incident Reports to supervisor within 24 hours of occurrence using agency protocol and guidelines
- Coordinate medical, psychiatric, specialist appointments, and money management services
- Serve as primary contact for staff when supervisor is not available
- Complete all documentation of services in an accurate, complete, and timely manner
- Provide monthly reports to program supervisor in a timely manner
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work or related field, required
- 2+ years working with individuals with psychiatric or other disabilities, required
- The physical ability to climb and descend flights of stairs
- Bilingual English/Spanish, preferred
