Here is your opportunity to join our Enterprise Infrastructure section by handling day-to-day monitoring and remediation of all security incidents. The Security Engineer is a member of the Security team which requires hands-on working knowledge of Security systems and applications to include implementation, configuration, management and troubleshooting of enterprise firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection systems, patch management, web content and email security filtering. This position will be responsible for Data Loss Protection (DLP), Managing Cybersecurity incidents including forensic investigations and coordinating remediation activities, as well as supporting Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) activities and the Information Security and Risk Management (ISRM) team. This position requires a working knowledge of information technology security systems and complex network configurations.

The starting salary ranges are included for the Infrastructure Administrator position reflects the minimum to 60.9% of the compensation. The starting salary will be based on the education and experience of the successful candidate. The District conducts annual performance evaluations that may award applicable pay increases based on positive employee performance.
- Support and manage configuration and monitoring of security tools across the environment, inclusive of infrastructure, on premise systems, and OT support.
- Create, monitor and report on actionable intelligence that reveals weaknesses and server vulnerabilities.
- Manage Compliance Admin rules.
- Facilitate the development of Cloud Application Restrictions and monitoring, ensure adequate security controls are enabled for all cloud services and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.
- Operational tasks supporting the execution of the Cyber security architect’s security initiatives outlined in the 5-year plan.
- SOC/SIEM ticket monitoring and remediation.
- Attack Surface Reduction identification and implementation.
- Data Loss Protection rule creation, monitoring, and management.
- Manages and supports Cybersecurity incidents including forensic investigations and coordinating remediation activities.
- Installation, configuration and management of Enterprise firewalls and related components.
- Installation, configuration, and management of antivirus software deployed in the environment.
- Participates in designing, configuring and testing WAN and LAN network configurations as it relates to network security systems.
- Configures, supports and manages mobility access for staff working remotely.
- Provides Information Security review of Service Agreements (SA) and End User License Agreements (EULA) for internal Legal staff and participation in the Software Risk Assessment process.
- Develops and maintains Security Systems documentation.
- Participates in Disaster Recovery exercises.
- Manages internal Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS) infrastructure.
- Manages External Certificate Management Service.
- Manages daily workload and supports projects within online ticketing system.
- Follows Change Management processes.
Most work is conducted in a standard office environment; occasional trips to service offices and other locations may be required. Ability to perform continuous repetitive tasks (to include keyboarding) with one or both hands. Occasionally lifts and carries objects up to 10 pounds. Some after hours and weekend work is required by the Information Technology Bureau to complete projects and initiatives.
The District plays a critical, emergency management role before, during and after major storm events and/or in conjunction with the overall emergency management strategy, operations and recovery for the State of Florida. The employee therefore may be required to perform duties as assigned before, during and after major storm events and emergency situations such as hurricanes or other declared emergencies. Such duties may include the employee's normal work duties or other emergency support functions as determined necessary by the District.

This position is typically scheduled to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This position is based out of the Brooksville, FL office, however remote work is available. This position is eligible for compensatory time for hours worked over 40 hours, in a week.
