Project Manager - Architecture and Engineering
Devino Aiello Architects (“DA&A”) is currently seeking a Project Manager. You’ll be involved in developing project scope, schedule and budget with input from clients, consultants and construction managers, etc. DA&A is looking for someone who has 5+ years of multi-family design experience and is licensed or in the process of becoming a licensed architect.
We are a dynamic firm located in the progressive city of Jersey City where development is booming. Our focus is to provide high-quality design for our clients, whose projects consist mostly of multi-family residential including mixed-use, mid-rise, high-rise as well as urban infill and adaptive re-use.
We are looking for a detail-oriented designer with excellent communication skills, good client relations and can manage multiple projects to join our team and assist with all aspects of our work. We are a small firm
that emphasizes design over structure and so requires a self-motivated, problem-solving individual with the ability to work independently as well as in teams. The candidate will report with the project team to develop designs from schematic through to construction documents and participate in the construction phase, including field observations.
This is a full-time position located in Jersey City, NJ (in-office not remote).
Required Criteria
· Candidate must have an architectural design background, with experience in all design phases.
· At least 8+ years of Construction Document experience a must.
· Candidate must possess at least 5+ years of experience in multi-family and residential building.
· Candidate must possess strong graphic skills and be proficient with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator or other 3D Rendering & Design Software
· At least 5+ years of Project Management and/or Construction Administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Design and Construction.
- Proficiency in Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint and Project Management Information Systems Software
Your Key Responsibilities
Participate in activities of Design Team consisting of the Engineers, Planners and other consultants;
Deliver day-to-day project tracking and communication with the client and project team;
Prepare and distribute meeting notes to the project team;
Provide direction to the Construction Team on behalf of the owner;
Develop, track, update, forecast and modify the project schedule throughout all phases of the project;
Review and track all contracts, invoices, and payments to all consultants;
Support the preparation of Monthly Reports to Owner;
Peer review of drawings from drafting team;
Schedule and perform site visits;
Review all invoices and change orders associated with the project;
Report to Principal Architects bi-weekly on project statuses;
Prepare phase schedule with design budget;
Assure project profitability.
