Electrical Project Manager - Site & Infrastructure - Maryland - 12-Month Contract
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Electrical Project Manager to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Maryland, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and oversee the electrical design and installation processes for the pharmaceutical API manufacturing campus.
Manage and supervise the implementation of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
Work closely with the Project Lead to align electrical activities with overall project goals and objectives.
Develop detailed project plans, including timelines and budgets, for the electrical components of the project.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and construction teams, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
Oversee the installation and maintenance of medium voltage cabling and fiber optic cabling, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Select and manage contractors and vendors involved in the electrical aspects of the project, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
Monitor and control project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues related to electrical installations as they arise.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide regular updates and reports on electrical project status to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and achievements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience managing complex electrical projects, ideally within the pharmaceutical, oil and gas, or chemical industries.
Proven track record of successfully overseeing electrical design and installations on large-scale capital investment projects.
Experience working with medium voltage cabling and fiber optic cabling is required.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and execute project plans, manage resources, and deliver results on time and within budget.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards applicable to electrical installations in pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
