Tri-County Aquatics, Inc. is a full service lake, pond and vegetation management company. We specialize in vegetation control in ponds, lakes, canals & marinas, right of ways, wetlands as well as sell, install and service floating pond fountains and aeration systems. We are currently seeking service technicians experienced in lake and pond management or pesticide applications to assist in our rapidly growing company. Employee Responsibilities/Requirements:
- Experience in lake, pond or vegetation management services is not required but helpful.
- State certifications for the application of pesticides or fertilizers is helpful.
- Application of herbicides and algaecides for control of nuisance vegetation.
- This position requires the technician to drive a company vehicle, sometimes pull a trailer and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Carry 50 pounds or more throughout each work day
- Able to walk varying terrains daily.
- Operate a small boat, ATV or other small vehicles on a regular basis
- Maintain daily account information such as treatment records using company software.
- Maintenance to company equipment, customer products & equipment.
- Installation & service of floating pond fountains & aeration systems.
- Easily communicate with customers, ie property and homeowners.
- Able to work in different aspects of the Company's offerings: Service, warehouse, packaging, inventory, equipment repairs.
- Some degree of mechanical abilities are required. (fixing small compressors, motors)
- Basic knowledge of tools, pumps and compressor usage/operation
- Organized, thorough, detailed oriented
- REQUIRED: a valid Michigan Drivers License with a clean driving record is a must.
Work Hours:This is a full time position with guaranteed work Monday - Friday. This is for a minimum of 40 hours per week. Although March through November is our busy season, employees will be required to transition to warehouse work in our off season, Winter, which will include material packaging & small equipment maintenance and repair.We strive to work efficiently and effectively in everything we do. Our days start at 7AM.Experience
Experience in chemical application and pesticides are preferred, but not required. Onsite training and state certifications are required to be obtained. Study material/guides as well as onsite training will be provided.
Education
High School Diploma or equivilent, College degree preferred, State Certifications in Pesticide Applications are very helpful but not required.
Compensation
This positions compensation is $42,000 - $50,000 per year to start, with opportunity for growth. (depending on experience and performance)
- Two weeks paid vacation plus 5 personal days and holiday pay after 90 days of employment
- Employees will have the opportunity to participate in company retirement plan with employer 3% match after 180 days of employment.
- Healthcare is available after 90 days of employment and 100% covered by Employer.
- Potential for year end performance bonus up to 10% of your annual payroll.
