The mission of the Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC) is to protect, preserve, and promote the health and well-being of all Boston residents, particularly the most vulnerable. Duties
In addition to all duties in Program Coordinator I and II, Program Coordinator III will perform these duties:
- Undertakes initiatives designed to improve the health and quality of life for Boston residents with asthma, in homes and communities.
- As a member of a multidisciplinary team, provides services to clients in homes, schools and other community settings. Provides outreach and education in many settings, including homes. Represents BPHC at meetings, health fairs and conferences.
- Responds to program inquiries and liaisons with various external agencies.
- Oversees distribution of program materials including tracking distribution and monitoring supplies.
- Coordinates multiple projects and/or initiatives including activities supporting coalition development, providing community health education and ensuring the achievement of program goals.
- Oversees and implements activities of program or project. Prepares reports for director and funders; assists with data collection and evaluation activities; reviews and analyzes information and data concerning BPHC program, to determine effectiveness.
- Implements appropriate fiscal management systems to ensure compliance with grant obligations; manages/oversees development and oversight of RFP's and grants; Ensures and maintains effective communication among community organizations, city agencies, coalition members and residents and develops strategies to support project activities.
- Coordinates meetings, events and activities necessary for the effective implementation of program goals.
- Delivers services according to established program protocol. May supervise interns and volunteers, trains and reviews the work of interns and volunteers' content.
- Performs other duties as required.
This job description is based on the Program Coordinator Series. May be required to perform any and all duties and responsibilities of a Program Coordinator II1, as set forth in the BPHC Program Coordinator Series.
