PURCHASING COORDINATOR
Essex Group Management, a leader in the Senior Care Industry, is looking for a motivated Purchasing Coordinator to assume responsibility for managing and processing all standard orders and requisitions for the management company and six senior care campuses.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to, negotiates with vendors for goods and services in pursuit of best possible price-performance and service guarantee. Supports facilities staff in establishing and maintaining sufficient inventory, inventory records and maintenance files and minimum (low) and maximum (high) levels. Ensures orders are accurate and delivered per the purchase order. Utilizes DSSI eProcurement system for purchases from our major vendors and assists facility purchasers (as required) in making their own weekly and monthly standard orders through DSSI. Makes purchases directly from non-DSSI vendors.
Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Business or equivalent job experience. Must exhibit a positive attitude and professional manner when servicing vendors, customers and field personnel. Must project a positive attitude towards the service provided, handling vendors and field personnel quickly and effectively. Must cooperate with other departments in order to meet the total needs of both the central office and the facilities. Must be a strong communicator, well organized and detailed oriented. Must be able to multi-task and work efficiently and accurately under pressure in a busy office environment. A background in purchasing/material planning is preferred but not required.
