ICC builds and manufactures equipment to measure road friction, pavement profile, roughness, texture, cracking, and other defects on the road surface. These measurements are important for safety, construction quality control, and long-term maintenance management purposes. We sell the equipment to civil engineering companies, departments of transportation, municipalities, and paving contractors. We also collect data on customers’ behalf using our own equipment.
This is an in-office position, and requirements are based on project workload. The Production Manager will be a dynamic leader who conducts, directs, and manages the manufacturing of the company’s equipment. The duties include overall management of production, suppliers, purchasing, inventory, and customer support for the Production division. This role also includes product innovation, that is, the identification of new features and directions for the company’s products and collaboration with Engineering in order to increase market share and to grow revenue.
The ideal candidate will be an organized self-starter who can motivate a team. This person should have a strong operations and manufacturing background including mechanical and electrical systems, metal fabrication, printed circuit boards, computers, and software. This person must be able to coach and motivate junior team members and to provide formal annual reviews. The candidate must also liaise effectively with engineers and software developers, prioritize development requests, and lead projects using a creative and positive approach.
