The Engineering Documentation Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and implementing product changes and updates within the engineering department. This position performs engineering support activities in sustaining, manufacturing, and maintenance of DriSteem products and components.
ENGINEERING CHANGE COORDINATION
- Coordinate the engineering change process, ensuring all changes are documented, approved, and implemented according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to gather and verify information related to product changes.
- Maintain and update a comprehensive document library, ensuring all documentation is current and easily accessible.
- Prepare and present reports on the status of changes, highlighting any potential issues or delays in the implementation process.
- Participate in continuous involvement initiatives to enhance change management systems.
- Support engineering projects that are of moderate complexity and scope from written specifications to production following the DriSteem project management process.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to implement product improvements.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support continual compliance with ISO 9001 standards and procedures.
- Provide product support as a resource to manufacturing, product management, sales, or other departments.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that allows you to get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, and management.
- Comply with any/all company safety and health rules and policies and promote safe work practices. Report any safety concerns to the supervisor/manager.
- Ensure compliance with departmental guidelines and company standards.
EXPERIENCE
- Two years post-high school education with an associate degree in a technical, business, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a technical field in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple and varied projects to meet deadlines.
- Basic familiarity with CAD software and engineering documentation.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other software programs.
