Position is Hourly, non-exempt Reports to: Marketing Manager
Position Supports: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Auction Curator (COO), Chief Editor
The Marketing Specialist is Responsible For:
- Create content in various formats by interacting with team members, buyers, sellers, inventory for sale, vendors, and other networking connections.
- Collaboration in developing marketing and sales campaigns, and tracking metrics, with the Marketing Manager.
- Work with the marketing team to ensure social media, calendars, and metrics are captured and sent to the Marketing Manager.
- Design posts to sustain readers’ curiosity and create buzz around new auctions.
- Integrate marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, evaluating advertisements, and participating in presentations and trade shows.
- Identifies marketing opportunities by understanding consumer requirements.
- Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities, as well as holidays, special events, and anniversaries.
- Suggest new ways to attract prospective customers, promotions, competitions, and campaigns.
- Develop and maintain an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Demonstrate ability to navigate programs like Photoshop, Adobe Premier, and CapCut
- Demonstrate knowledge of Meta products including Facebook, Instagram, and Meta Ads.
- Ability to use other social media platforms such as TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.
- Have excellent knowledge of marketing computer software, Dropbox, and online applications (CRM tools, Online analytics, Google AdWords, etc.).
- Proven experience in marketing & social media.
- Strong interpersonal communication, multi-tasking, people skills, and adherence to deadlines.
- Good understanding of marketing principles with strong interpersonal skills.
- Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach.
- Good knowledge of market research techniques and databases.
- BS/BA in Marketing, Business, Public Relations, or relevant fields is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to confidentially process and maintain data with attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain a positive, supportive, solution-focused attitude.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business, or related field preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency with online marketing and social media strategy.
- Proven success in designing interactive applications and networking platforms.
- Proficiency in MS Office and/or Google Workspace Applications.
- Valid Alaska Driver’s license
- Ability to pass a background and reference check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
