Job title: Forklift and Material Handler
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Warehouse
- Works as assigned inbound, outbound, picking, packing, sorter, replenishments and inventor control
- Performs receiving, processing, shipping customer orders and managing inventory
- Operates forklift, drum cart, pallet jack, dolly and / or by hand if necessary to receive and put away inbound receipts
- Includes breaking down and creating optimal sized pallets prior to put-away into inventory
- Operates forklift to move inventory throughout the warehouse for the purpose of managing inventory and replenishing picking locations
- Affix labels and packing slips, shrink wrapping pallets
- Loading outbound movements
- Load and unload materials to and from designated storage area, such as racks shelves or vehicles
- Use specific types of tools and equipment to prepare products to meet work order specifications
- Install protective devices such as bracing, padding or strapping to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported
- Transport receptacles to and from designated areas by hand or using dollies and trucks or other equipment
- Secure lifting attachments to materials and convey load to destination
- Sort and store items according to specifications
- Stack and pile materials, such as lumber, boards or pallets
- Read work orders or receive and listen to oral instructions to determine work assignment
- Attach identifying tags or mark information of product or materials
- Locate and select material, supplies, tools, equipment or other articles from stock for customers
- Record the type of quantity, value or location of materials, supplies or equipment received, shipped, used or issued for customers
- Verify computations against physical count of stock, adjust for errors or investigate discrepancies
- Receive and fill orders, supplies, materials, and products for customers and clients
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, instruments and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety requirements
- Adjust or replace equipment parts, such as drum lids, pallets and propane tanks
- Drive fork-lift safely (awareness of pedestrian traffic, not hitting racks etc.) to pick up incoming stock or deliver materials to designated locations, as assigned
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs when necessary
- General knowledge of environmental, health and safety oriented compliance
- Adhere to employee manual
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 per week
