We are a boutique personal injury law firm in Encino looking for a full time Case Manager. Candidates with a background as a litigation paralegal or paralegal, legal secretary, medical billing, or medical patient appointment coordination/case management are encouraged to apply!
The Case Manager works with the attorneys and support staff to handle the needs of our personal injury clients. The daily responsibilities of the Case Manager will require heavy multi-tasking.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets office visitors and communication with clients over the phone;
- Obtains information and documents from third partys, lots of document ingestion and data entry of various types including transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, documents, photos, media, pictures, and video;
- Preparation and coordination of cases, including assembly of a physical file and possibly intake/new client interviews, reading, researching, reviewing, verifying, and routing correspondence, reports and legal documents, collecting and analyzing information, initiating calls with third parties and organizing client conferences, and attorney schedule;
- Docketing and scheduling including but not limited to state and federal statutue calendar mandatories, client meetings, meetings with opposition, firm calendar, attorney calendar;
- Admin work such as UPS/Fedex correspondence, messenger services/couries, copy services, court reporters, office supplies;
- Maintaining professionalism with third parties and clients at all times and attorney-client confidentiality;
- Self-starter and attention to detail - We don't want to micromanage.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
6 MONTHS minimum in Personal Injury (PI) law firm or equivalent setting. Candidates with no personal injury law firm or equivalent experience will be rejected.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Skills: Phone Negotiation.
- Language: Spanish (not mandatory but a great qualifier!)
- Certifications: Court Certified Interpreter or equivalent interpreter experience/certification.

Pay: $19.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
