POSITION SUMMARY: The Billing Specialist provides daily support and coordination of Part B billing tasks, and ensures compliance with HCFA and other regulatory agencies. This position ensures all aspects of the billing procedures per patient are completed including submission of bill and recording of payment. RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Inputs Part B billing claims for payment from HCFA. 2. Records cash receipts and handles all customer services calls. 3. Identifies and tracks technical and hard denials. 4. Assists therapists in appealing claims. 5. Identifies and tracks coinsurance and deductibles not paid. Applies and follows through for payment of coinsurance and deductibles. Submits monthly statement of changes to all patients. Processes overpayments to responsible parties or patients. 6. Answers day-to-day billing questions from staff, families, insurance companies and nursing homes. 7. Provides billing to all clients.

Requirements: The Billing Specialist position must possess a minimum of a high school degree or equivalent, along with one year of experience in claims or billing.
Compensation: $15 - $18.50/hr
