ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
The customer service representative (customer care concierge) is responsible for interacting with customers to provide information in response to inquires with the ability to deliver a superior "Wow" customer service experience. Develop an intimate knowledge of our product line. Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions. Proactively recommend alternate products to increase customer satisfaction. Develop a long term relationship with the customer.
Accurately process all customer request: request for stock availability, stock reserves, order status and technical requests. Analyze and process standard samples, customer samples and purchase orders. Review purchase orders submitted for required information.
Assist customers with the usage of our website. Manage heavy call volume while being able to multi-task. Take ownership and be resourceful in getting issues resolved. Process company requisitions and submit purchase orders to vendors for adhesives, base cover, entry way, area rugs and wool products. Submit request to shipping and receiving to invoice/receive orders for adhesive and wool products. Create and follow up on cash be delivery accounts. Audit orders to ensure accuracy. Report and track incoming calls, out going calls, sample orders placed and purchased orders entered utilizing MS Word, Excel and Fax, sort and attach bill of lading and filling.
EXPERIENCE OR REQUIREMENTS
- Min 2 years in customer service
- Strong call center experience
- Background in manufacturing or distribution a plus.
- Previous experience must include responsibility for project completion with limited guidance.
- Knowledge of carpet product processes preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, detail oriented and follow-through skills.
- Requires in dept experience in all Microsoft Office Programs and must be proficient in other computer software applications including purchase order management, Lotus Notes and AS400.
- Excellent verbal and written communication required.
- Must be willing to work varied hours and weekends when necessary.
