Job Description:
As an On-Call Front Desk Receptionist at Sea Island, you will be the embodiment of our commitment to warm, genuine hospitality. Your role is crucial in providing friendly, attentive, and timely service to ensure an exceptional experience for our guests and members. We are looking for a candidate with at least one year of experience in a similar role at a luxury hotel or resort, preferably one recognized with four or five diamonds/stars. A high school diploma is required, and a college degree is preferred. You must have excellent communication skills, be able to operate hotel computer systems effectively, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. Passing our skill tests in reception, data entry, message taking, and customer service is essential. You should also be proficient with office equipment and capable of performing simple math calculations. Upholding our core values and exhibiting Five-Star Behavior Standards is non-negotiable. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, work well with a diverse team, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changes with ease. Other Requirements:
- Develop and maintain coastal Georgia information as a resource at the concierge desk.
- Maintain knowledge of amenities, activities, and provide guest recognition.
- Greet guests, respond to needs, and direct to appropriate locations.
- Assist with reservations and confirmations for various guest services.
- Communicate with housekeeping and butler departments for room status updates.
- Provide courteous phone service and run arrival/departure reports.
- Process registration, post charges, and handle payments and departures.
- Manage guest information, including data entry and retrieval for guest history.
- Coordinate delivery requests for gifts to guest rooms.
- Work with all departments to anticipate and satisfy guest needs.
- Maintain knowledge of guest services, local attractions, and Sea Island history.
- Uphold standards and policies, report issues, and attend meetings for improvement.
