St. Bernard Hospital is in search of a Human Resources Manager with a passion for service. It is an important role and an influential way to communicate the purpose, values, and goals of the organization. We need a HR Manager who is professional and can cultivate relationships between employees and the leadership team. The HR Manager should have experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources polices, programs, and practices. In addition, the HR Manager will be responsible for ensuring a department of service excellence.
The Human Resources Manager provides human resource services to department and administrative staff to support the hospital’s mission. The Human Resources Manager will supervise the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, reviewing pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Human Resources Manager - HR Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
- SHRM or HRCI Certification: CP, SCP, PHR, or SPHR
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a human resource generalist or in a wide range of human
- resource management areas.
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in the human resources field.
- Minimum of one (1) years of experience with HRIS programs, Meditech Expanse preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of human resources experience in a health care setting preferred.
Human Resources Manager - HR Manager Responsibilities:
- Support the management team in talent retention by assisting with a transparent annual review and compensation process.
- Provide overall leadership and guidance by supporting the talent acquisition, employee career
- development, employee engagement, employee training and leadership programs.
- Supervise assigned areas of Human Resources Department staff.
- Manage the organization’s compliance with rules and regulations of various regulatory agencies.
- Coordinate grievance activities and/or meetings in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Partners with Department Managers to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Supervise assigned talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Provides support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Researches competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Supports learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Adheres to compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; coordinating systems and trainings for the organization to remain. compliant.
- Reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Oversees the HRIS system, including developing reports.

Pay: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour
