AV-Rated litigation firm in South Bay region of Los Angeles has opening for a litigation associate. We are looking to expand our team with a lawyer ready to seize the opportunity to take on increasing levels of responsibility, develop business of their own, and work toward and potentially earn a partnership position.
The ideal candidate graduated from a top 50 ABA accredited law school, is a self-starter, has very strong writing skills, is able to function with minimal supervision, and has two to five years of experience in the relevant practice areas. Experience with employment litigation and counseling is a strong plus. Diversity candidates are a very strong plus.

The firm requires attorneys to bill approximately 1800 hours per year, with some additional time commitment to business development, including writing articles, presentations, and networking events. Business development success is rewarded with year- end bonuses and a portion of collected revenue.
Our growing firm represents plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal court and in arbitration. We handle all types of disputes that arise in small and medium sized businesses, including employment litigation, contract cases, business torts, and partnership and shareholder disputes. We also represent lawyers or their former clients in legal malpractice matters and legal fee disputes. We take matters on both hourly and contingent fee representations.

Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation cases
- Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Conduct discovery and take depositions
- Represent clients in court proceedings and hearings
- Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to gather necessary information for cases
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a top 50 ABA accredited law school
- Admission to the California State Bar
- Proven experience in litigation, preferably in a law firm setting
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in legal drafting and document preparation
- Familiarity with legal research platforms such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Pay: $140,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
