Job Description:
An Outpatient Substance Abuse 822 Clinic in Queens, licensed by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS), is seeking to hire a highly motivated and dedicated CASAC or CASAC-T to join its multidisciplinary clinical team. Candidates must be able to ensure compliance with OASAS 822 regulations and meet deadlines for all documentation. Candidates will conduct individual and group counseling, intake interview and assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, provide information and referral services, maintain linkages with other treatment facilities as appropriate to patients’ needs, maintain records in compliance with regulations, completeness, accuracy, legibility, and issues relating to confidentiality. Candidates MUST have good communication and interpersonal skills. Prior entry level experience: working with chemically dependent persons and significant others, with the ability and experience to motivate and engage the adolescent population.
This position will require someone who has a thirst for knowledge and developing skills of anger management, relapse prevention and family systems.
