General Duties/Responsibilities:
- Must demonstrate proper technique in the consideration of patient, employee and staff safety following OSHA regulations, sterile and safety standards, and CLIA standards.
- Performs venipuncture or capillary puncture on patients.
- Obtains urine samples and cultures per physician’s orders.
- Identifies and labels specimens. Enters data into the computer.
- Assists patients before, during, and after donation.
- Assists in cleaning work area following safety, cleanliness and infection control procedures.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Assists with inventory of supplies and assists with placing orders as directed.
- Performs waived laboratory testing as directed by laboratory supervisor or medical lab technician.
- Answers lab telephone, takes messages and provides routine laboratory information.
Hours:
- Monday 7:30AM-5PM
- Tuesday OFF
- Wednesday 7:30AM-5PM
- Thursday 7:30AM-5PM
- Friday 7:30AM-4:00PM and 7:30AM-6PM every other week
- Every other Saturday 7:15AM-11AM
