SUMMARY:
Responsible for overseeing and supervising the activities of the housekeeping personnel to ensure the smooth flow of the housekeeping operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct and coordinate all housekeeping activities and staff.
- Recruit, hire, and train housekeeping staff.
- Monitor and evaluate staff performance.
- Ensure that all room and common areas are clean and well maintained.
- Plan and develop housekeeping budgets.
- Develop and implement safety and security protocols.
- Plans and prepares the weekly schedule of the housekeeping personnel to ensure the proper coverage is afforded daily based on projected hotel occupancy.
- Makes necessary changes on the schedule to meet operational demands.
- Enforces all company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Conducts daily inspections of hotel rooms and related areas to ensure that the set quality standards are maintained.
- Coordinates and/or follows up requests for painting or repairs to be done in the guest rooms and other areas of the hotel with Maintenance.
- Maintains an inventory of chemicals and supplies needed in the Housekeeping Department.
- Makes requisition of the lacking items as the need arises.
- Promotes positive customer service by assisting guests in addressing their complaints and resolving their problems.
- Prepares and submits all required paperwork and reports of the department.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Issues counseling notices and/or disciplines employees who violate the same.
- Trains all housekeeping personnel on both technical and safety procedures to be followed.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Must have ten (10) to fifteen (15) years related experience and/or training.

Driver License
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Must have Microsoft Office experience and basic computer skills.
