Allegiance Staffing is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor with extensive experience in Tool & Die, line maintenance and equipment maintenance for a DIRECT HIRE position with a worldwide supplier and manufacturer of automotive equipment and technology.
Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for managing, supporting and directing the Maintenance Team ensuring safe, sound, functional equipment and processes. The Maintenance Supervisor will be knowledgeable and experienced in many different strategies and disciplines of maintenance.
Role Responsibilities
- Process owner for Maintenance process - responsible for managing processes and related outputs
- Responsible for: Electricians, mechanics, millwrights, fabricators, and facility personnel
- Maintains and manages work order (W.O.) system/database to ensure on-time closure
- Responsible to manage and direct oncoming traffic related to breakdowns including but not limited to all MPCP responses and closures
- Analyze machine downtime to identify and correct mechanical or electrical problems to prevent future breakdowns
- Ensure availability of replacement parts for key manufacturing equipment to minimize unnecessary machine downtime
- Maintain maintenance related records
- Ensure proper planning and control for all areas of responsibility in Maintenance department (e.g. labour, overtime, equipment, travel, etc.)
- Ensures that Tool Crib process is being followed by personnel
- Achieve goals and objectives that are set out each year by the Manager
- Maintains clear, written records
- Coordinates with outside contractors on equipment repairs/upgrades and works alongside managers to source the most effect repairs/upgrade costs
- Provide input and ensure completion of CI projects
- Ensure and secures a safe work environment as per Health and Safety requirements
- Contribute to ongoing improvements throughout department in coordination with management
- Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Employee Handbook
Role Requirements
- Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, company rules, plant
rules, policies and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Mechanical/Electrical Certification of qualification or equivalent experience
- 3-4 years of experience in a similar role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong technical and problem solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and identify spare parts needed for equipment
- Ability to understand machine functions, hydraulic systems, electronic controls, sensors, and pneumatics
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance on tooling fixtures/equipment to ensure predictable equipment
- Strong coordination and organizational skills and the ability to lead a team
