Job Description
Malnove Inc. of Florida, a family-owned, nationwide folding carton manufacturer, seeks a 3rd shift (11:00pm - 7:00am) Electrical Technician for its Jacksonville, FL based facility. We have an immediate opportunity for a high caliber Associate who has passion and ambition to drive results. MUST be able to work all shifts based on Company need.
The Job:
Responsible for repairing equipment; performing upgrades to equipment; and finding correct parts to use or, if not available, re-designing to make machine operational. Ensure that company state-of-the-art equipment including large-format, high-speed printing presses, automated die-cutters, and folding and gluing equipment are operating safely, effectively, and efficiently.
- Manufacturing electrical configuration and setup
- Reviewing work orders to determine what work needs to be done and prioritize work; and to review work that has been completed
- Troubleshooting and repairing equipment
- Repairing, replacing, and ordering electrical / electronic components
- Perform PLC programming such as revisions and new process development
- Interpret schematic drawings of relay logic diagrams, PLC programs, motor control circuit diagrams etc..
- Perform installation, integration, and maintenance of process instrumentation equipment to include gauges, switches, controllers, etc; as well as perform installation, integration and maintenance of motor control circuits and power circuits
- Perform installation of new control circuits, modification of existing electrical systems as requested, to include design, load and implementation of new logic
- Determine faults of of PLC based systems and implement solutions within logic
- Perform installation of all electrical conduits and raceways to include GRC, IMC, EMT, PVC and various types of basket/ladder tray
- Perform proper terminations of all I/O components, instrumentations, etc., and ensure proper labeling is installed to meet specifications
- Communicate with vendors, engineers, managers and other contractors to assure jobs are completed within scope and budget
- Treat clients with the highest degree of respect and work to develop a partnership environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Comply with all company policies and procedures regarding safety, food safety, OSHA, NDEQ/EPA, etc. to ensure a safe, secure working environment that meets the company’s goals and achieves customer satisfaction.
The Successful Candidate must have the following experience:
- Manufacturing electrical experience
- Knowledge of PLC programming, hardware, and software interfaces (Allen Bradley, Omron, ABB)
- Willingness to work OFF hours and overtime as necessary
- Strong schematic and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of piping and wiring codes
- Good technical knowledge of AC/DC motors and motor control circuits
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- 2 years of experience repairing industrial equipment
- 1 year of experience in manufacturing experience
- 1 year of experience as an electrician or electrical technician
- STRONG desire to learn
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Outlook
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to read and write English Mathematics ability
- Ability to install and troubleshoot VFD and servo motor drives
- Ability to perform a field failure analysis to determine if problem is process driven or failed electronics/electrical components
- Ability to work at height off a working platform. No hanging or free climbing.

Pay: $29.00 - $32.00 per hour
