National Ambulatory Surgery Center of Anaheim is seeking a Pre-Op/PACU Nurse. Full-time, Part-Time, and Per Diem Positions available. Applicants are required to have minimum of 1 year of cataract and eye experience, critical care or recovery care experience, outpatient surgery setting, as well as up-to-date California RN License, and ACLS, BLS certifications. Traveling to mutual centers will be required if needed. GI experience is preferred.
Accountability:
- Is directly accountable to the Clinical Director.
- Works in collaboration with facility staff, nursing colleagues, STs, and the surgical aide.
- Directs non-professional staff.
Physical Requirements:
The Staff RN must be able to engage in physical activities on a daily basis. As a direct patient care provider, the Staff RN will maintain:
- Hepatitis immunization (will be provided at no cost to the employee) or documented refusal to be vaccinated.
- Evidence of negative Mantoux annually or chest X-ray every two years (will be provided at no cost to the employee).
- Ability to maintain extensive standing, moderated sitting, retracting and assisting in the transfer of patients with appropriate number of personnel and/or devices.
- Physical ability to perform CPR.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds, instrumentation or equipment.
Other Duties:
- Other duties as assigned that are within the scope of practice and purpose of the position.
- Travel to nearby centers will be necessary
Pay: $60.00 - $64.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
